Discover how Canyons School District's Peer Court program is redefining student discipline through compassion, accountability, and youth leadership. Designed as a Tier 3 intervention for non-violent, low-level offenses, Peer Court centers restorative practices and holistic family support. Learn how student judges—not adults—help guide their peers toward personal growth, academic success, and improved community connections.
In this session, you'll hear directly from the students who’ve experienced both sides of the process—some who returned the following year as judges themselves. Explore how Peer Court offers weekly mentoring, mental health referrals, basic needs support, and career guidance, all while strengthening relationships with SROs and community partners. Come see what happens when students lead the way in restoring justice. The court successfully completed its’ fifth year and is still growing. Join us to learn how building community and true wrap-around services are changing student discipline and building leaders.
